Brian, At the Fall 2005 Common, I attended the VARPG intro class class and the instructor (whom I believe was named Clauss) indicated that a VARPG executable could be run directly from the IFS if the user has a drive letter mapped to the iSeries. I haven't confirmed this - maybe one of the other VARPG experts can chime in...
