Not to get too far off this list content.. but, We piloted a CISCO IP 
telephony solution.  The Windows DUCS came from Cisco not IBM, at 
least that's what the network/telcom guys said. Of course Cisco didn't 
have a connector for the iSeries which gave the Windows camp more 
pull. (I thought there were a lot of DSD sold.. why would the iSeries 
and/or DSD be pulling more weight?)
We've since decided on Avaya (sp?) for IP telepony and I'm sure I'll 
run into the same problem.  I haven't heard if the DUCS connectors 
will be supplied by IBM now.  So, I'm not sure it IBM is the right 
tree to be barking up.  They may be able to put a little pressure on 
the phone vendor.
