I really don't see any point to creating two ASP's here. I think the
concept of separating your os into one area and your applications into
another comes from a PC mentality. Doing this just complicates a lot of
stuff. You end up getting free space in one ASP when you could be tight
in another. I also am willing to wager that the default setup program for
most iSeries applications do not ask you which asp to install on and will
end up defaulting it to asp 1.

Multiple asp's make sense if you are doing something like
- Journalling your files and putting your journal receivers in a different
library in a different asp in case of catastrophic disk failure in your
primary asp.
- Have some really slow drives and you want to reserve them for archive
data only purposes so you put them into a different ASP.

I also question the use of 35gb drives. I hear a lot about the "disk arm
mantra". However we increased our performance by dropping from 42 disk
arms down to 7 when we went to a 520. Using lower capacity drives just
fills up slots on your 520 and forces you into buying an expansion unit
when you need more disk space.
