Thank you all for your responses. However, I should have mentioned that CPU usage at the time all these locks occur is absolutely fine. It also can't be a CFINT, Client Access or communications issue as all other systems are unaffected, just the users of one system - the one I'm responsible for! The users are a mixture of local and remote - both types being affected. Also, we are not using the CEEPAYS API. Sorry, yes, there are a very small number of SQL programs in the system which I will check - however wouldn't the creation of a large index on the fly, triggering this kind of response, cause the CPU to be very high? I'll still make this my next investigation. Finally, we're on V5R2 and our model is 825. Thanks again for any help! That might rule some things out... cheers, Clare Clare Holtham Director, Small Blue Ltd - Archiving for BPCS Web: www.smallblue.co.uk IBM Certified iSeries Systems Professional Email: Clare.Holtham@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Viney" <James.Viney@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, January 10, 2006 11:15 AM Subject: Screen freezing and Call Stack unavailable > We are having a problem where some users of our in-house system are > freezing > for several minutes.
