× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Google is definitely our friend. And don't forget the search engine on the iSeries Support page - it has links to 10-12 different areas, including PTFs, APARs, knowledge base, InfoCenter, etc. The results in this engine for InfoCenter are much easier to deal with than the search that InfoCenter has. And the V5R3 links are fixed, caused by IBM's change to InfoCenter. Oy!

By the way, these came back on the first page when using an advanced search
as follows on Google:

With all of the words = *ALLOBJ
Domain "Only" return results from the site or domain = IBM.COM

GOOGLE is your friend...forget the search functions in the InfoCenter...

Subject: Edit Object Authority overrides

I have an object with the following authority levels: *public = *use,
amapics = *all.

If a user has the following special authority, will they override the
object authority?
*allobj, *isyscfg, *jobctl, *splctl.

Thanks and Happy Holidays.
