A call to service finds a note that this is working as designed, but they
can't find where it is documented in the manuals or redbooks either. Just
filled out a change request because of the way it works in only one
direction (vary on, but not vary off), and also because it doesn't work
like other comm objects that i've seen. I won't hold my breath though...

For anyone that works with IXSs/IXAs:
I'm at a point where i'm adding the vary off and on of a particular IXS to
some manual procedures used when we switch between systems. The profile
that is performing the task is QSYSOPR. QSYSOPR is able to vary off the
IXS with no trouble, but *IOSYSCFG is required to vary it back on?
Strange... I don't really want to give *IOSYSCFG to QSYSOPR for just this
task, so i'm looking for some other ideas. I know I can adopt it with a
program and such, but really wanted to handle this in a simple manner.
Anyone know why they can be varied off without *IOSYSCFG, but need that
special authority to vary it back on?
