Yes, there are newer clients that are in fact compatible with WindowsXP.
However, you're somewhat tied to the OS400 release that is on your host.
The client you have seems to be from OS400 V4R4, which is several years out
of service. If your as400 was upgraded to V5, you should have been shipped
new client software.

Subject: Client Access Express + Windows XP - excel addin

Our office is using Client Access Express for Windows version 4 Release
4 Modification 0

However, after everyone moved to Windows XP (from Windows 2000), bugs
started appearing with Client Access. It basically works, but for
bigger files, it cuts off at line 16351 and gives an error message. I
have confirmed that the files I am transferring do not exceed the Excel
maximum of 65000 lines. This bug occurs only when using the Excel
Add-In version of Client Access. Other bugs have been occurring with
the add-in as well...

Is there a more recent version of Client Access that you guys use? Have
you experienced any problems with Client Access on Windows XP?

Any advice would be appreciated....
