I will like the RFID device sending data directly to the iSeries because the middleware that most solutions have increase the cost, increases complexity, reduces reliability, all without giving any benefit. (exept to the provider of the middleware)

I do know some ex-Lansa employees started a company called Stratum Global to work with RFID solutions. http://www.stratumglobal.com/ I am sure they would have experience with iSeries and RFID solutions..
