We have some people that are also queer for either NEP's to check a file 
for new records every x seconds.  Or even worse, every x seconds it 
submits a job to check the files for new records (floods the DSPLOG). Very 
strong candidates for triggers.  However they are opposed to something 
that "radical".  However, another gal here (born in the first half of the 
last century) wanted a trigger.  I took a shell trigger program that I had 
and we had it up and running in less than 1/2 hour.  Granted, I did a bulk 
of that work and she didn't get the full concept of how it works at the 
time.
