<vendor response>Brian , I'm not sure whether our RPG2SQL Integrator product can help you, but it might be able to. I have read from and written to MSSQL with it. I have also read XML files using a free OLEDB provider for XML. You use the functions of our product in ILE RPG. It can eliminate in some situations the need for FTP transfer completely. If interested, please feel free to give me a call at 952.989.3038 and/or look at out web site at http://www.rjssoftware.com and look for the Productivity & Development Tools area.

Hi All, I currently have an FTP job that runs on our Win2k3 Webserver that I would like to move to our AS/400. The job simply transfers an ASCII file over from our clients FTP server every minute. However, I will still need our MSSQL server to read the files from this FTP job, as they are run through a specific DTS package and added to the MSSQL database. What is the easiest way to set up a shared filespace on our AS/400 that could be read by the DTS package on the Windows server? The other question is will the files that are placed on the AS/400 be changed in any way if they are downloaded as ASCII files? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!
