Re: restoring data file and program

There are a ton of ideas:
- We use Turnover for change management.  It can promote to multiple 
production machines.
- If the snapshot is only for huge queries then maybe you don't need all 
of the latest programming changes.  That's about the only purpose I can 
see for a setup such as yours.  Except maybe for DR purposes but I suspect 
the third box is in the same room.
- Restore issues may occur if the security differs from one box to 
another.  Namely object ownership, authorization lists - that sort of rot.
