Paul,
I had it just totally shutdown this morning while in the middle of opening a pdf. Worked after I restarted Firefox and ran Reader (6.0) again.
I thought it might be because the page on which the pdf link existed had not finished loading - but that was true on the restart (you know me, no patience whatsoever).
