do these drivers work with the .NET 1.1 framework?

Is there any significance, anything new to this announcement? I dont
need client access for ODBC access to the 400 from windows? Has that
always been possible at no charge as this announcement might allow?

Would be great if there was competition on the host server side of the
400. an alternative to the qzadsoinit jobs that the odbc client
connects to.
