Scott,

If you do a DSPFD on the logical file, you should see a line called "Files
access by logical file" along with a list of depending physical files and
format names. I believe this information can be obtained via the Retrieve
File Description QDBRTVFD API.

Subject: Retrieving the library of a multiformat logical

I have 2 files that are located in 2 separate libraries. I have created a
logical file that combines these 2 files. Is it possible to obtain the
library information of the individual files at read time. i.e.

The file is located in library SQCG. the individual files that are
referenced are in separate libraries. file 1 - SQCF, File 2 - SQCS. what I

would like is for my program to read the file and then return the library of

each record format.

Program reads file.
First record is in SQCF.
Second record is in SQCS
Third record is in SQCS
fourth record is in SQCF
and so on.

I tried to code the INFDS (pos 93-102) but it is returning the library of
the combined file. SQCG

I hope that I have explained everything that I am looking for. Is there a
record format data structure like the file information data structure?
