Could you supply some of your code? "James H H Lampert" <jamesl@xxxxxxxxx To om> midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: cc midrange-l-bounce s@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject iconv problem 11/02/2005 02:39 PM Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion I'm attempting to use the iconv API suite for some quick ASCII to EBCDIC conversions. Unfortunately, I can't get the damned thing to work. If I try to open a conversion descriptor with iconv_open, with a FROM CCSID of 850 and a TO CCSID of 37, it fails with errno=einval. If I try to open a conversion descriptor with QtqIconvOpen, with a FROM CCSID of 850 and a TO CCSID of 37, I get garbage. Ditto for FROM CCSIDs of 437 and 819. As a character made famous by David Hedison would put it, <tiny voice>Heellllllpppppp meeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!</tiny voice> -- JHHL -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
