I'm attempting to use the iconv API suite for some quick
ASCII to EBCDIC conversions.
Unfortunately, I can't get the damned thing to work.
If I try to open a conversion descriptor with iconv_open,
with a FROM CCSID of 850 and a TO CCSID of 37, it fails
with errno=einval.
If I try to open a conversion descriptor with
QtqIconvOpen, with a FROM CCSID of 850 and a TO CCSID of
37, I get garbage. Ditto for FROM CCSIDs of 437 and 819.
As a character made famous by David Hedison would put it,
<tiny voice>Heellllllpppppp meeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!</tiny
voice>
