I wonder if it has to do with the Content-Type and
Content-Transfer-Encoding?
The email in which I want to include the line feed is:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Another email (picked at random in my Inbox) is:
Content-Type: text/html;
charset="US-ASCII"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
