Hello,
I have spent some time on the web searching for a how to type of paper on
Connectivity between an AS400 and SAP XI. Decided that I should stop
circling and send you an email asking for direction.

Overview

Data resides on the AS400.

Using the file adapter of XI I want to pull a flat file from the AS400 in
to the XI environment.

Map the flat file to xml

Send the xml message to a customer

Questions
Within the system landscape of XI connectivity is established. Are there
any special setups that would be required on the AS400? Will XI connect
using a user id and password? The user name and pass can this be directed
to a directory on the AS400 where the flat file will reside?

      example:
            I:\ rubbernet\filename

Are the any special setups required within XI to allow for AS400
connectivity.

FYI
Our current connectivity with XI is with in our SAP server landscape.

Thank you for your time and effort on this.

Kind regards,
Connie
