No, I have all access authority. The way we found it was the user
calling to say they could not log in, so I know the user profile does
not exist.

Don't try WRKOBJ or WRKUSRPRF.
Try DSPOBJD xxxx *USRPRF
WRKOBJ just won't show it to you if you don't have access.
DSPOBJD will either say it doesn't exist or you don't have authority to

it, depending on which is true.
I use searching for the message queue for users with limited authority
to 
find the user profile.
