You might try setting it up using the *IBMSNMPDRV first.

I've got new Intermec printers that handle this just fine and SNMP is
better than using LPD/LPR via a RMTOUTQ.

Try using a RemoteOutq and using the QWPDEFAULT WSCST file.

The printer is attached on a LAN.
