It was his Mom's brother's name.  Uncle Hal was the primary male role model for 
the young Arthur.

    Most shops I've seen have been fairly unimaginative, usually the 'S'
    followed by the serial number.
    
    Here, we use EAGLE. We've got some "lesser" birds for our PC servers.
    
    Wonder if anyone's got one out there named HAL?
