Dave: After some looking to remind myself, 'file' separators are specified for printer writers, e.g., via the STRPRTWTR FILESEP() parameter. 'Job' separators are specified generally for outqs, e.g., via the CHGOUTQ JOBSEP() parameter. A single job separator page would print for a job that created dozens of spooled files and all were printed together; dozens of file separator pages would print for that single job if file separators were enabled. But that's mostly trivia in this case. Perhaps what you want to study will come from: http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.NSF/0/37bc85cefacc13ab862566c2007102df?OpenDocument or: http://makeashorterlink.com/?V2182110C I knew something in this issue resonated in memory somewhere. Search for the word 'trailer' in that page. It might start bringing some of it all to light. By the looks of it, it isn't going to happen unless you do it yourself. And I'm not clear on how that could be done. It doesn't look as though job or file separators are reliable. (There are some other IBM support type documents that talk about different printer drivers handling things in different ways.) Tom Liotta
