The whole task was to get away from saving. We wanted to do something like a copy - replace. A little history: We had on AS/400 box setting in storage. I acquired it when we combined companies. The company that had it was using it as an e-mail server. So, we just put in storage. Than one day our AS/400 system got slow from the number of user and storage space. Than we found out that the box in storage was newer than our AS/400 box and we could put two processor on it and a lot more storage space. Now after we get this done and began to transfer our data from the old box to the new box. We found that a lot of things we had on the old box would not work on the new box without a few changes. So, I total switch from the slow box to the fast box has come to a slow pace. Now the idea is at month end we would like to transfer libraries from one box to the other. This will allow us to run our report on the fast box without slowing down our old box.
