I wrote an application that ties into the HR system. The morning after a
user's termination date, their AS/400 profile is automatically disabled and
the text has **DO NOT ENABLE** appended to the beginning. Reports print out
with any other pertinent information (their NT profile will be disabled
manually, if they have one). The Help Desk can't enable a profile whose HR
record indicates them as terminated (they don't have authority to CHGUSRPRF;
the auto-term runs under adopted authority).

As soon as I am notified that someone is no longer with the company, I start
monitoring the use of their sign-on to see if ANYONE ELSE appears to be
using it (due to how new people get trained, and the trainers not ask for a
sign on for the new person) we have a lot of people using someone else sign
on until IT is told what kind of security the new person going to need.),
and if it stopped being used, then I deactivate the sign-on, so it exists,
but cannot be signed on.
