The print ad that ran that week (Wall Street Journal was one) had an IT
manager writing a computer based "diary" describing all the issues that
come with a room full of servers to manage.

The answer to his problems? As would have been written in the diary was
"_i"  (i.e. "i" with a preceding space as it would appear in a text file)
