I would expect the Mirrored Systems to be slower since the base boxes only 
have 2 drives unless they aren't doing much writing...

Marco,

Where are you seeing this performance gap?

They do have the same processor (0.2 of a 1.5Ghz POWER5)) and cpw 
(500/30).so given similair I/O and Memory configurations performance 
would be identical.
