In XP it complains that it cannot find the file - I don't know the exact message as I am not online to my client's 170I assume that this is a Windows/Word problem? Has anyone idea how to delete the .tmp files manually? You can do it on a PC but not on the IFS.Why can't you delete them manually on the IFS?
If you have a PC operating system of Windows 2000 or greater you should be able to use the /s option on the del command to process all of the subfolders. Map the Z drive to the appropriate top level folder and then try this: Del z:\*.tmp /s
It would never occur to me to use a DOS command in 2005 - I will certainly try this when I go there on Tuesday. As a matter of curiosity, what does the /s parameter do? Many thanks Rob Dixon
