Interesting question Yves! Best I can tell, subsystem monitor job controls reuse limit. I am not sure of its internal workings. You can control PJs reuse by CHGPJE ... MAXUSE(1) Once you set it to 1, you know that it can only be used once :) Nice thing about this setting is that it doesn't negatively impact PJs function, but it may affect performance a bit. If you get a lot of new connection requests, new jobs would have to be started for each connection. Job startup cost is considered an expensive operation on the iSeries. Perhaps you can create a DCR with IBM to give us a command that would show the "reuse" count?
