I've have a customer using the S36EE (execution environment) on V5R3 i5 520
for 10 months - no S36 issues. This is not the M36 guest OS - that was not
supported
I think even earlier than V5R3. Do note that w.V5R3 IBM no longer ships the
base OS Migration software to convert true S36 or M36 code & files to the
S36EE - AND I WISH THEY WOULD PUT IT BACK!!! - eventually the stragglers
were converting and buying i5's (I know because every year I would do some).
I would
imagine that code took zero maintenace between releases...
