Went to look at the messages this morning and they look like hieroglyphics. <g> I assume it's because the CCSID is 65535. I changed it to *MSG and now it looks fine. Regarding the SAVEs, I'm doing both types (disaster recovery and file-level). My only concern was that SAVLICPGM had some magic that a save of all the involved objects did not have.
