It should. We restored our late lamented D02's marbles onto our 40S (V2R3 to V4R2). We're still sorting out a few things, but that's because the 40S wasn't empty to begin with.

The only catch is that if there's any non-observable software involved (QuestView, for example), you WILL need to obtain RISC versions for the new box. And if there's any software that's secured with a model- and/or serial-specific authorization code (again, QV, for example), you'll need to transfer your license to the new box, and obtain a new code from the publisher.
