You must have the SQL licensed product, since you can do embedded. So STRSQL, then enter your SELECT statement that gets the records you want. This is to ensure you have the right statement. Then F13 and option 1 to change options - change the output to 3 for database file, set the other stuff, and press enter a couple times to run the SELECT again. Or STRQM, take option 1, F19 if needed to change to SQL type instead of PROMPT type. Then create a new QMQRY - put your SELECT statement in there - it is promptable with the same interface, mostly, as STRSQL. Test it with F5. When satisfied, exit and save it.
