Subject: Quick Poll - How do you enforce referential integrty?

Say you have an Order Header/Order Detail relationship. You're writing an
application that deletes the Order Header record. How does your shop handle
referential integrity?

1. We do it programmatically-- our application looks in the Order Detail
file and makes sure there are no corresponding Order Detail records.
2. Our shop standards require we create constraints through DB2/400.
3. We don't bother checking. We just delete the Order Header record.

Thanks

-Ed
