Well, I've never heard of this command. If it has file output, you can
create a file in QTEMP and read in CL using DCLF - RCVF kind of logic.

Yes, RUNSQLQM.

Here is the sample:

                         Process SQL commands (RUNSQLQM)

 Type choices, press Enter.

 SQL request . . . . . . . . . .

                                                                     ...

 Output . . . . . . . . . . . . . * *, *PRINT, *OUTFILE

Do you have any other suggestion with RUNSQLSTM?

Thanks,

You mean RUNSQLSTM? Or is this a custom made command?

Subject: Getting a Field Value using RUNSQLQM

How can I get the value of a field from a file using RUNSQLQM in a CL
program?

I don't want to create an RPG program just to do a chain to get the
value.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Lester
