I have commands built into QSTRUP that vary the QPA sessions off, then run 
a DLTDEVD QPA* against them. Auto config will recreate them as necessary. 
I leave auto config turned on for those clients who don't have anybody in 
operations. 

For other device descriptions, you could do a DSPOBJD to an outfile, 
determine the last date a device was used, then delete them based on date 
criteria
