I have been very impressed with FILE TRACK.

Basically use some other package to get files in AS/400 format, then you basically define from what externally defined files to what externally files you going, mapping out field to field, and what changes you want ... it generates the source code, where you can insert subroutines to take care of special circumstances.

We are involved with a file conversion (going from one package to
another) and I was wondering if any of you have come across any product
that allows you to map a field from one data base to another? Doesn't
matter whether it's green screen or GUI. I know I can write a program to
do it, but I think there must be something would be available to cover this.
