Great news I spoke to the IT manager this evening. It was the text
message that did the trick. I had left him a couple text messages, one
last evening and then this evening. In probably 50-75 calls these were
the only two calls that got through. Because they are an insurance
company the commissioner of insurance allowed them to go in with moving
vans and pull their equipment which wile unpowered was also dry.. They
had to go down the stairs with the stuff due to lack of power so some
stuff got bounced a bit.. They are heading to a cold site now and it
looks like they will be back on-line sometime tomorrow at that location.
They are concerned about the bouncing as well as the heat and humidity
the equipment was sitting in. Also the cables are "a rats nest in a box"
at this point-A solvable problem indeed!
Even better news is that so far as they are currently aware there were
no fatalities or injuries in their company or their families.
Thanks for all the ideas, I tried them all!

Try text messaging their cell phone. I have had a lot of success
communicating with friends and family in NOLA this week via text message.
Good luck.
