It says in the article that " The company is also planning to kick off a mainframe contest next month with prizes for students in the U.S. and Canada. The contestants will all be given accounts on a z/OS hub and asked to complete a series of challenges. No previous knowledge of mainframes is necessary to enter the contest, according to the statement." That sounds like a lot of fun, does anyone know any more information about that? -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dave Schnee Sent: Tuesday, August 23, 2005 2:11 PM To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: iSeries vs. zSeries I got a reference from Computerworld_Wrap_Up about a new program IBM has for "attracting young mainframers": * IBM, Users Work To Attract Young Mainframers http://www.computerworld.com/newsletter/0,4902,104104,00.html?nlid=PM Gee! Wouldn't it be great if IBM had a midrange offering worthy of "attracting young midrangers"? Dave Schnee, Barsa Consulting Group, LLC.
