We went from countless 8.5GB drives on many SPD controllers to only 12 70GB on a 2780 and batch performance was great! Some jobs that ran 8 hours are now running in 4 hours. When we upgraded our 830 to an i5 550, we sized the CPW the same on the i5 partition as is was on the 830, yet we still saw this improvement, probably mostly from the I/O upgrade. Brian, I wouldn't worry, the 2780's cache really makes a difference! Somewhere in the archives is some very specific data regarding this. These new drives kick a$$. Rob Berendt
