That is very true Rob - used to be the ONLY reason you would see it was that
something critical needed attention. We were conditioned to that...
So is the burner not hot now ? :-)

We too see it alot on our 520 but not on our 570.  Then again the 520's 
light is more visible than a 570's.  There's about a bazillion normal 
operations that can turn it on on a 520.  I really hate to be numbed to 
something that's supposed to grab you by the short hairs and demand 
immediate attention.
