yeah, but I just don't want to give folks the wrong impression that they could do a total restore this way.. You still need to have a full savsys to boot from alt ipl dev for restore...

If so, backup to savf's then ftp binary them to your windows server...then from there spin them off to a removeable drive periodically... Won't replace what you need from a savsys and I recommend a save/21 periodically still, but if they're not doing any user/security/dev/application maintenance and just need offlines of the production libs, then this should work. Also make sure your LF's are in the same lib as your PF's... And, this will work with a unix server as well as a windows one... Just off the top of my balding little head before I start counting punch cards...:) Don in DC -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
