Note - I CC'ed California Software Products with this message.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- All -I have seen threads either here on the www.Midrange.com list or on the comp.sys.ibm.as400.misc Usenet group about how California Software Products has in the past attempted to bill people for support for products that they never bought (trial versions of their software) or bought and discontinued using.
Can you say mail fraud??? ;>) BTW -Here is a link to their Worldwide Offices page - you can click on the red dots to get the telephone number of the office you desire to contact: http://www.calsw.com/calsw/company/worldwideoffices.asp
I recommend that everyone give them a call to express dissatisfaction with their marketing scam!

Great news, Bill! Until this weird circumstance, I had never heard anything but good things about iTera. I'm glad this isn't what it seemed to be at first glance, and I'm really glad I was able to bring this to the surface. I tried to call you, but we're playing tag right now. We'll get this straightened out. I wonder if the other "vendor" (asymex) is as in the dark. This certainly paints an interesting picture of the type of company that would recommend moving off the iSeries to Windows. JoeFrom: Bill Rice For the record, iTera never agreed to advertise in this publication. MidrangeNews has somehow grabbed one of iTera's ads (probably fromanotheronline publication) and slapped it into their publication. We are investigating how we can have our ad removed at once, what their motivation was for commandeering one of our ads, and whether to initiate legal action.
