True, ifs api's do not support adopted authority.  What you need are the 
"profile handle" api's to actually switch the profile to which the job is 
actually running under.  Much like the difference between positions (from 
an RPG perspective)

     D Curr_User             358    360a         * Current user
     D*      * see profile handle
     D*      *   api's
