RE: Console Option with HMC on 570

Absolutely you may have twinax, but it will be outside the realm of the HMC - 
it essentially would be a waste of a PCI slot per LPAR, and potentially a waste 
of an IOP per LPAR depending on your config (if you were full-up and needed 
another IOP to drive the twinax IOA).
 
HMC is required to LPAR the 570, and the console then becomes "free" by using 
the HMC - you are by no means required to use the HMC for your consoles, 
however.
