Just a heads up. If any of you are using QSH to run java commands on another platform, I ran across this following an upgrade over the weekend: The customer sends spool files over to another platform to print with a product called Optio. The java stuff was written for version 1.3.1. Following the upgrade to 5.3, the process quit working. After tearing out some hair, it was determined that we needed to add this parameter to the script: -Djava.version1.3 Otherwise the java code would have needed re-compilation and the customers other servers are still at version 1.3. Many thanks the the IBM support line guys. They figured it out in about 30 seconds after they saw the java command. -- Paul Nelson Arbor Solutions, Inc. 708-670-6978 Cell pnelson@xxxxxxxxxx
