Bill has been good with WRKDBF in the past when I discovered new things in DB2, or just when I started using stuff in DB2 that's been out there for years. My current issue is with null capable fields. If I use WRKDBF to add a row to a table and do not key in something in a null capable field, WRKDBF displays an error. Granted it doesn't "error out". It just displays the error on the message line. However when I use UPDDTA and just not type in something into a null capable field, it works fine. And leaves the field null. I had to drop back to using UPDDTA on this file. (I suppose I could write a program to do it, but I'm in a hurry and the only data maintainers are in IS.) Rob Berendt
