The FOR COLUMN doesn't seem to work with MySQL, so I'm going to punt. What I'll do is build the CREATE TABLE command on the fly, calling a method that formats the appropriate syntax for each column. The syntax will depend on the SQL dialect. Standard DBs will ignore the short name, but the iSeries method will use it. I have to do something like this anyway because of the disparity between data type naming. A BIT on SQL Server is a TINYINT on MySQL. Yeah, SQL is platform independent, alright...
