Jim, I can think of a couple of ways. 1. Write exit programs for exit points QIBM_QZDA_SQL1 and QIBM_QZDA_SQL2 to create audit entries you can then report on. 2. Write a process to use command STRDBMON. 3. Journal all your physical files and write a process to report on what you are looking for. 4. Write some triggers for your database files that would do the same thing as suggestion 1. 5. And if you are not too against purchasing a package look at AuthorityBroker from The PowerTech Group. It may just solve your problem. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces+gary.monnier=powertech.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces+gary.monnier=powertech.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Norbut, Jim Sent: Friday, July 08, 2005 6:10 AM To: midrange-l Subject: Auditing of SQL Statements via STRSQL I can see where I am able to turn on "auditing" of commands that a user types in QAUDJRN on a user by user basis. Is there a way to log/audit things done in SQL via STRSQL and typing in commands that way to update tables. (This is in response to a request re: Sarbanes/Oxley.....not for a rogue user who we are watching) Thanks, Jim
