I don't know if anyone has responded, but I'd avoid an 800, since it's got
no upgrade path. If you can afford it, go for a 520 instead of an 810.

Subject: AS400 Upgrade Requirements

Hi,

We have looked around and have found no definitive answer regarding our
concerns over reducing Interactive CPW.

We need to upgrade our AS/400 as we are running out of storage.

Our current model information is:

Model: 170-2386
Memory: 512Mb
Disk: 105Gb
Peak Active Users: 18
Total Users: 28

We have been recommended a Model 800-2464 which has CPW of 950/50 and 1Gb
memory as opposed to our current model 170-2386 which has CPW of 460/70
and memory of 512Mb. We're concerned about the drop in interactive CPW.

We then filled out IBM's "IBM / JD EDWARDS WORLD SIZING AND PLANNING
QUESTIONNAIRE" with the above information and they stated that we should
go for a model 810-2467.

We would be grateful if you could give us some advice. I am not an AS/400
Techie or expert, so laymen's terms would be great.

Thanks
Col
