After an IPL we did a
GO SERVICE
10. Work with jobs
and noticed the jobs weren't running.

These jobs will report when a disk drive dies, etc.

Autostart job entry QS9AJE in subsystem QSYSWRK is supposed to start
these. I did a
SBMJOB JOB(QS9AJE) JOBD(QS9AJEF) PRTDEV(*JOBD) OUTQ(*JOBD) USER(*JOBD)
PRTTXT(*JOBD) RQSDTA(*JOBD) INLLIBL(*JOBD) LOG(4 0 *SECLVL) LOGCLPGM(*YES)
and noticed some authority errors. IBM recommended the following:
- Grant QSRVAGT *USE authority to the QSYS/QSYSNOMAX *JOBQ.
- Grant QSRVAGT *CHANGE authority to the QSYS/CHGSRVA command.

V5R3M0.

My reply to IBM:
"Thank you.

Now, did me and my CE both not notice this in some install instructions,
or is it not documented there? If it is not documented, are they planning
on either fixing the documentation or putting out a ptf that gets around
this problem?"
