What is a Trigger Mediator?
A Trigger Mediator is a program that mediates trigger requests between the iSeries Database (DB2) and a trigger service programs. By mediate, we mean, DB2 calls the trigger mediator and the mediator, in turn, calls the correct trigger service program. It "Mediates" all requests.

Fascinating. Sounds rather like something I did myself, a few months ago, to provide Workflow scripting on our Wintouch product, and (if things ever stablize enough that we can create something fit to release) connect it to business integration systems.

Of course, mine was a bit more specialized in nature, and while it now does what it does quite well (ever write a recursive descent parser in ILE RPG? It can be done, but it's only useful in very specialized situations), it wouldn't be very useful anywhere else.

Sounds like something that's been needed for a long time, given how much of a pain in the fundament it is to kick off all users in a particular file in order to change its triggering.
